Gavin E.R. Wilson

Gavin E.R. Wilson joined the IFC Asset Management Company (AMC) in July 2009 as its founding Chief Executive Officer. AMC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of IFC and a member of the World Bank Group. With over $8 billion under management, AMC raises and manages third-party capital for investment in developing countries. Gavin is responsible for AMC’s strategy and operations, and chairs its Investment Committees.

Before joining AMC, Gavin was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, and prior to that he worked at McKinsey, the Bank of England, the World Bank’s Africa Region and in IFC’s investment and advisory businesses. He holds a BA from the University of Oxford and an MBA from Stanford University.

Gavin serves on the Steering Committee for the Redesigning Development Finance Initiative and on the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Sustainable Development.
