Gavin’s interest in education began in high school, while serving as an advisor for the Connecticut State Board of Education. He’s since moved on to see education through a global perspective. In China, Gavin co-founded the National High School Debate League of China (NHSDLC). He also directed a number of youth initiatives, including for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai. Gavin most recently co-founded Sunrise, a social enterprise dedicated to global education reform through extracurricular programs.
