George Bisharat is a professor at UC Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco, where he teaches criminal procedure and practice, Islamic law, and anthropology of law. He authored a book on Palestinian lawyers and writes frequently on law and politics in the Middle East for both academic and non-academic audiences. His commentaries have appeared in the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, the Washington Post, Haaretz, and a number of other publications in the United States and abroad.
