Greg Barrett is an investigative journalist and the author of "The Gospel of Rutba: War, Peace, and the Good Samaritan Story in Iraq" (Orbis, June 2012), recipient of a 2013 Catholic Press Book Award. He’s also the author of "The Gospel of Father Joe: Revolutions & Revelations in the Slums of Bangkok" (Wiley, March 2008), winner of a 2009 Nautilus Book Award Silver Medal.
He’s a twenty year veteran of newspaper and wire reporting in Washington, D.C., the Carolinas, Maryland, Virginia and Hawaii. His reporting spans war zones, squatter camps and political unrest in Thailand, Jordan, Egypt, Israel, Palestine and Iraq, as well as reports throughout the United States.
