Mayor of Bal Harbour, Florida and Attorney

Gabriel Groisman is the Mayor of the city of Bal Harbour, Florida and a Shareholder at the law firm of Groisman Law (www.groismanlaw.com). Mr. Groisman wrote and passed the nation’s first municipal anti-BDS ordinance. This ordinance prohibits the municipality from contracting with any business unless the contract includes a representation that the business is not currently engaged in, and will not engage in, the boycott of a person or an entity based in, or doing business with, a country or jurisdiction in which the United States has free trade. It is aimed at ensuring open and nondiscriminatory trade with partners, such as the State of Israel. As a result, Mr. Groisman was invited by Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations to speak at the United Nation’s Headquarters on two occassions. Mr. Groisman has also presented on a variety of topics at places such as the Italian Parliament in Rome, and the Israeli Parliament in Jerusalem. Mr. Groisman also champions various other issues including medical research for rare diseases, autism awareness, neurofibromatosis awareness, and even beach renourishment and protection along the Florida coastline.
