Hailey Woldt

Researcher on religion, international relations and cultural diplomacy

Hailey Woldt is a researcher on religion, international relations, and cultural diplomacy. She is a former research associate at the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs and Ibn Khaldun Fellow at American University. She has specialized in research on Muslim world and US relations, serving as research assistant for the project and book "Journey into Islam: The Crisis of Globalization" by Akbar Ahmed and as project coordinator of "Journey into America", the largest anthropological study of Muslims in America. She is also the former director of research for the Global Initiative for Cultural Diplomacy in Washington. She has spoken at various universities, think-tanks, and government institutions, and her articles have been published internationally in English, Arabic, and French. Her undergraduate degree is in international affairs from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service and her masters is in social anthropology from the University of Cambridge, UK.
