Mayor of Warsaw

Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz was elected mayor of Warsaw in 2006, and in 2014 was elected mayor for the third time. From November 2012 until November 2014 she has been president of EUROCITIES, an organisation gathering 140 of the largest European cities. In 2000, she became an associate professor at the University of Warsaw. She has been awarded with the scientific title of Professor of Law Sciences by the President of the Republic of Poland. She was lecturer at the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw and head of the Department of Administrative, Economic, and Banking Law. She has participated in numerous international conferences and has authored over 40 scientific publications, including handbooks and monographs.
