Harriet Welty Rochefort

Harriet Welty Rochefort is the author of French Toast, French Fried, and is working on a third book on the French, to be published in Fall 2012 by St. Martin’s Press. Married to a Frenchman, Harriet has lived in France since 1971 and is a bilingual binational.
As a freelance journalist in Paris, she has contributed hundreds of articles on French business and lifestyle to major newspapers and magazines and reported for the Paris bureau of Time for ten years. For the past five years she has taught a reporting course at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques (Sciences Po). She regularly speaks on Franco-American cultural différences.
