Hazel is a junior at Cornell University, where she studies Anthropology and International Relations. She is especially interested in migration, asylum and refugee policy and is involved in various organizations which deal with these topics, such as the Committee on U.S. Latin American Relations, the Roosevelt Institute Campus Network, and the Cornell Anthropology Exchange. She has also worked in Paris, France on issues relating to the socioeconomic integration of refugees and in addition to English speaks Spanish, French, and some Russian.
