Senior Researcher, Uyghur Human Rights Project

Henryk Szadziewski is senior researcher at the Uyghur Human Rights Project. He lived in China for five years, including a three-year period in Kashgar. Mr. Szadziewski has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Leeds (UK) in Modern Chinese and Mongolian Studies, and a master’s degree in Development Management (with distinction) from the University of Wales (UK) where he specialized in Uyghur economic, social and cultural rights. Mr. Szadziewski has authored numerous articles for publications such as OpenDemocracy, Asia Times, Asia Sentinel and Inner Asia.
