Supervisor Hilda L. Solis seats on the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors for the First District. She was the former Secretary of Labor for the United States making her the first Latina to serve in the United States Cabinet. Prior to confirmation as Secretary of Labor, Secretary Solis represented the 32nd Congressional District in California, a position she held from 2001 to 2009.
