Deputy Mayor for Government Affairs and Communications, New York City

Howard Wolfson is the Deputy Mayor for Government Affairs and Communications. In this capacity, Wolfson oversees Local, State and Federal government relations in addition to helping to craft the Administrations overall communications strategy. Prior to his appointment, Wolfson advised local, state, and federal officials inside and outside of government. He has worked as a legislative aide on Capitol Hill, a Communications Director on a presidential campaign, and the Executive Director of a national party committee. He served as Chief of Staff to Congresswoman Nita Lowey, and as an advisor to Charles Schumer, Kirsten Gillibrand, Hillary Clinton, Andrew Cuomo, and David Paterson, among others. Most recently, he served as the Communications Director of the Mayor's re-election campaign.

Wolfson, a New York native, graduated from the University of Chicago and received a Master's in History from Duke University.
