Hugh Hogan has been North Star Fund’s Executive Director since 2003. North Star Fund is New York City’s community foundation supporting grassroots groups leading the movement for equality, economic justice and peace. Since its founding in 1979, North Star Fund has distributed over 29 million dollars to 1,600 groups working to create a more equitable and democratic city. In addition to grantmaking, North Star works with social justice organizations to build the ability of leaders and organizations to work together in a grassroots movement for social change. Hugh has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, USA Today and other publications.
