Hugo Mercier is the Co-founder and CEO of Rythm, a neurotechnology company that builds products that sit at the intersection of neuroscience and advanced technology to enhance everyday human experiences. As CEO, Hugo spearheads product, marketing, high-level research / development, and provides direction to other teams within the company. Passionate about unlocking the brain’s full potential, Hugo has assembled some of the most respected specialists in neuroscience and hardware to launch Dreem, the first active wearable to improve the quality of sleep. In just 2 years, along with his Co-Founder, Quentin Soulet de Brugiere, he has grown Rythm to a multidisciplinary team of more than 60 employees. Together they’ve won more than 10 international scientific and entrepreneurial awards like Innovation 2030 and Grand Prix de l’Innovation. Hugo’s also provides leadership and business development guidance to a number of organizations including NUMA, France’s leading tech innovation and start-up hub. Hugo founded Rythm in 2014 while completing his degree in applied mathematics and computer science at the prestigious Ecole Polytechnique in Paris. He also attended University of California - Berkeley, where he focused on the entrepreneurial track.
