Ian has been writing articles on health and fitness issues for several years and has had articles published in running and cycling magazines on a variety of sports medicine/injury topics. His published credits include Outside Magazine, The Atlantic, Running Times and the San Francisco Chronicle. He has been working in the field of sports medicine and physical therapy for the past 15 years and has served as an athletic trainer for the Women's World Cup, Major League Soccer and the University of Maryland. In addition to treating professional athletes from MLB, NFL and NBA, Ian spent a season as a physical therapy consultant for the San Francisco 49ers. His educational background includes a Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Maryland and certifications from the NASM and NATA.
