Ian Ruskin

Director of The Harry Bridges Project & The Life of Thomas Paine Productions

A producer, writer, actor, Ian trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and has worked extensively in theatre, television and film in the UK and US. His interest in social justice led him to found nonprofit The Harry Bridges Project in 2000. He has written and performed in three one man plays, and produced three radio and four documentary films including, the film version of “ From Wharf Rats to Lords of the Docks” directed by Haskell Wexler, which aired nationwide for 4 years. Four years ago he wrote his acclaimed Paine play and has been performing it in the US and UK ever since. The film of his Paine play, “Thomas Paine's To Begin the World Over Again" is currently being distributed to Public TV by NETA.
