Immy Kaur

Imandeep Kaur is a passionate interfaith and social activist, who has completed her MSc. in International Development from the University of Birmingham, with specialist research into the widows of the 1984 Sikh Genocide in Delhi. Immy is an alumnus of the prestigious Tony Blair Faith Foundation’s Faiths Act Fellowship, where she spearheaded widely acclaimed interfaith social action projects in Birmingham.

Immy is currently leading the Catalyst Leadership Programme in Birmingham, an opportunity for aspiring interfaith community leaders. Immy’s wider community development passions see her as Outreach Director for the TEDxBrum team, reaching all corners of the cities with the inspirational thinking and ideas of TED.

Immy’s deep commitment to supporting those who need it most, continues with her most recent professional challenge as she takes on a new role with the Bromford Group, a business with a strong social mission, helping people to be the best they can be.

As an active member of the Sikh community, Immy continues to ask difficult questions about how is historical tradition being translated to practical action in today’s modern society. A question she regularly challenges the community on.
