David Benowitz

Co-Founder and Partner at Price Benowitz LLP, Criminal Defense Attorney, Harvard Law School Trial Advocacy Workshop Faculty Member.

David is the founding partner of Price Benowitz LLP, a 30-attorney firm in the greater D.C. Metro Area, and he has nearly 20 years of experience litigating thousands of cases at the district, state, and federal level. He represents clients in a wide range of cases, from complex DUI defense to sex crimes to federal conspiracy charges. David Benowitz practices white collar and criminal defense in D.C., Maryland, and federal courts. He is also a Harvard Law School Trial Advocacy Workshop faculty member. When not defending clients in court, David can be found lounging with his dog Braxton. Mr. Benowitz holds a B.A. in American History from the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated with honors. He earned his J.D. at The George Washington University Law School and obtained an LL.M in Trial Advocacy from Temple University’s Beasley School of Law. Mr. Benowitz began his career as a Staff Attorney at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia (PDS), recognized as the top public defender office in the country, where he represented clients in the litigation of serious criminal matters, including first degree murder, first degree sexual abuse, and armed robbery. Now, as the head of the White Collar Criminal Defense Practice Group at Price Benowitz, he currently represents clients in a variety of high-profile white collar and criminal matters in federal and local courts.​
