Ira Pramanick is a software engineer at Google. She has previously worked at Sun Microsystems, Silicon Graphics, IBM and the University of Alabama. She has a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Iowa, and a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology. In 2008, Ira founded GetMagic Corporation (getmagic.org), a 501c(3) non-profit organiztion, which provides 1-1 mentoring to middle and high school girls and encourages them to consider careers in STEM. Ira is a holder of six US patents.
