Isabella Lövin

Deputy Prime Minister of Sweden, Minister for International Development Cooperation and Climate

Isabella Lövin is the Deputy Prime Minister of Sweden. She is also Minister for International Development Cooperation and Climate and co-chair of the International Dialogue on Peace-building and State-building. She is a former member of the European Parliament for the Green Party with positions in the committees of Environment, Development and Fisheries. Isabella is the recipient of many environmental prizes and was awarded the Fair Politician of the Year prize in 2012, from Fair Politics EU, for her efforts to make the European Union’s Common Fisheries Policy more fair towards developing countries. Until 2009, she was an acclaimed journalist and authored the book “Silent Seas –- the Fish Race to the Bottom.”
