Ishrat Husain is a Pakistani-American physician who practices dermatology in California. She holds a certificate in Creative Writing from UCLA, and is completing her Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing at San Diego State University. She has published numerous short stories, most notably in the Southern California Literary Journal, “Fresh Ink,” and has written a novel which awaits publication. Ishrat is inspired by women’s stories of resilience from around the world. She lives in Southern California.
