Ivan T. Thornton is the Founder and Senior Managing Partner of Fiduciary Management Group, LLC whose offices are in New York City. Prior launching the firm in 2005, Mr. Thornton spent ten years at Credit Suisse, where he was a Vice President and a member of the Chairman's Council in the Private Wealth Management Division. Mr. Thornton's 25 year professional career includes more than seven years at Morgan Stanley as Vice President Financial Consultant (member of the President's Council), and three years as a Financial Consultant at Merrill Lynch. Mr. Thornton regularly performs asset allocation strategies, manages lump-sum distributions, and counsels wealthy individuals on all aspects of financial planning. An enthusiastic and popular speaker at universities, seminars, and symposiums regarding financial investment and business strategy issues, Mr. Thornton values the importance of fiscal responsibility. Mr. Thornton received his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from The Stern School of Business at New York University, and his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance from Howard University. Mr. Thornton is a Registered Investment Advisor and is NASD Series 7 and 63 licensed.
