Judith Redwing Keyssar, RN, BA, Author, is an Author, Poet, Teacher, National Presenter and frequent contributor to the public debate about Palliative Care. As a "midwife to the dying" she draws upon over twenty five years of nursing experience in oncology, critical care, and hospice--working in hospitals, non-profits, and as a private consultant. She is the Director of the Palliative Care Program at Jewish Family and Children's Services of the SF Bay Area. Ms. Keyssar is also a founder and Adjunct faculty member of the California State University Institute of Palliative Care. Her book, "Last Acts of Kindness; Lessons for the Living from the Bedsides of the Dying" was awarded an American Journal of Nursing 2011 Book of the Year Award.
