Southeast Asia/Myanmar Political and Business Analyst

Hla Hpone “Jack” Myint is an Associate at the US-ASEAN Business Council and works on Cambodia, Myanmar, Defense and Security, Infrastructure, and Public Relations. Previously, Jack was a Research Assistant at Inle Advisory Group, a Washington-based advisory firm focused on investment opportunities in Myanmar. He has also worked with the International Republican Institute, the Center for Energy Policy and Management, and the Pyithu Hluttaw (Myanmar's Lower House of Parliament). Jack’s op-eds and commentary on Myanmar and Southeast Asia have appeared in The Huffington Post, The Diplomat Magazine, Eurasia Review, New Mandala, Voice of America (VOA), BBC News Radio, Borderless News and Democracy Speaks. Jack is a Prospect Burma: Aung San Suu Kyi Nobel Peace Prize Fund Scholar, an Open Society Foundation Scholar and a U.S Department of State International Exchange Alumnus. He holds a B.A in Political Science and Conflict Resolution Studies (CRS) from Washington & Jefferson College.
