Jacqueline “Jackie” Emerson is an actress (The Hunger Games, The Last Survivors), recordingartist/songwriter (Glass Fire in a Jar, Peter Pan), TEDx speaker (Hold Onto Your Inner Child), voiceover artist (Fantasia—Disney), junior at Stanford University, Ambassador for the China Institute, and the guide to the SHE’S SO BOSS movement—a multimedia brand that helps girls to discover their own inner BOSS. She has performed with multiple professional theater companies, as well as with the LA Opera, and is a member of the Stanford Improvisors. She recently was profiled in the OWN Show 's digital series, "Who Am I." After dealing with her own body image issues, Jackie became extremely passionate about the issues surrounding the portrayal of women in the media. Three years ago, Jackie held her first “Healthy Body Image” panel at a fan convention. Since then, the brand has grown. She now travels around the country, speaking to girls and women of any age on topics ranging from body image and mental health to school pressure and family dynamics, all under the banner of “Let’s Get Real.” Let's Get Real is also about to be launched as a Youtube campaign, with the goal of creating an open, sharing community online. The emphasis of the campaign is to show that nobody is perfect, and that nobody is alone. Jackie is partnered in this edeavor with All For 1, a foundation that seeks to tackle institutionalized problems with mental health policies and provide support for students. She is also currently working with the development team at Killer Content on a feature film adaptation of the disturbing, powerful, post-apocolyptic and post-feminist YA novel, “Only Ever Yours.”
