Erin Warren Senior Vice President of Marketing Splender Erin Warren is the senior vice president of marketing at Splender, a unique online cash-back shopping site that is part of Cartera Commerce. In this role, Erin is responsible for leading marketing strategies and execution to acquire, engage and retain customers for Splender’s cash-back shopping site. As a marketing veteran with more than 15 years of experience, Erin has always been motivated by the opportunity to enhance the way companies execute their marketing strategies to attract and retain customers. Joining Cartera Commerce in 2014, Erin led and drove the product development and marketing for Splender, successfully launching the new service within five months. Prior to Cartera, Erin spent three years at CollegeWeekLive as chief marketing officer. There, she was responsible for leading all B2B and B2C marketing strategies and campaigns to transform the way students and universities interact. During this time, she grew service registrations by 50 percent and saw an 80 percent year-over-year increase in college visits. Before that, Erin served as the vice president of channel marketing for Sallie Mae, the number one financial services company specializing in education. Managing a team of 29 marketing professionals, Erin and her team surpassed the original goals for asset growth by 300 percent the first year. Erin also held a number of vice president and director roles at Upromise, a subsidiary of Sallie Mae. Erin’s interest in marketing sparked during her time as an Olympic athlete, representing sponsors at promotional events. During her 12 years on the U.S. Women’s Luge Team, she represented Verizon on speaking tours across the nation, as well as speaking at employee events. This experience later evolved into her role as a Verizon consultant and group manager of online marketing. A two-time Olympian, Erin is still an active member of the U.S. Luge Association and the U.S. Luge Foundation. She continues to race and help promote the sport, and is the reigning 2015 Masters National Women’s Luge Champion. Erin was born and raised in the Boston area and currently resides with her husband and two sons. She earned her Master of Business Administration degree from Babson College, Franklin W. Olin Graduate School of Business.
