Pollster James Delorey joined Global Strategy Group in 2000 and has advised some of America’s most respected organizations, institutions and corporations. James’s clients include the National Research Council, the National Academy of Engineering, the Pew Charitable Trusts, the American Heart Association, and WGBH-Boston Educational Foundation. James has conducted research studies for Harvard University, Princeton University, New York University, and the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies. James provides research and counsel to candidates, committees, and elected officials, from city halls and state houses to Washington, DC. He was the lead research analyst for Joe Manchin’s successful campaigns in 2004 and 2008 for Governor of West Virginia and for Manchin’s 2010 and 2012 campaigns for United States Senate. He directed the research program for the Massachusetts Democratic Party, was lead research analyst for Chet Culver’s win in the 2006 race for Governor of Iowa, and currently advises Delaware Governor John Carney and Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh. James earned his B.A. in Canadian Studies and Political Science at McGill University in Montreal, did graduate work at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and earned an M.A. in Political Science at the New School for Social Research. James is an Eagle Scout and serves as national Vice Chairman of the Scouting Alumni & Friends Committee and on the Board of Directors of the Greater New York Councils – Boy Scouts of America.
