James Miller

Managing Editor for Interpreter Magazine, reporting on Russia, Syria, and the Middle East

James Miller is the Managing Editor of The Interpreter Magazine, a daily-updated online journal dedicated primarily to translating media from the Russian press and blogosphere into English, and the founder of Dissected News.  He is the former U.S. based editor for Enduring America, where he covered the revolutions of the Middle East and North Africa between 2010 and the spring of 2013. He has written for the Huffington PostIran News Now, The Columbia Journalism Review, and The American Prospect.

His article, "The Green Movement in Iran Is Alive, and Important," was published in a book, Current Controversies: The Iranian Green Movement, and an article describing his methodology was recently featured in the Columbia Journalism Review, "Straight news from the Citizens of Syria: How reporters sort, organize—and verify—a flood of information from a chaotic civil war."
