James Reinhart

James Reinhart is the CEO and Chief Knitwit of thredUP.com the nation's leading marketplace to buy and sell high quality used kids clothing.

James graduated from the Harvard Business School and the Harvard Kennedy School in 2009. Prior to that, while working in the Bay Area, he helped develop one of the nation’s premier public schools, Pacific Collegiate School – recently named the #3 school in America by US News & World Report. After Pacific Collegiate, he co-founded Beacon Education Network, a charter management & school turnaround organization.

He was a Goldsmith Fellow in Social Enterprise at HBS and a Bill George Fellow at the Center for Public Leadership at the Kennedy School. He holds a BA in History from Boston College.

James lives with his wife Michele and daughter Evelyn in Oakland, California.
