Jami and her husband Justin live deep in the heart of Texas with their (current) 7 children ranging in age from 20 to 6 months. Jami and Justin are active in the foster care system and have been richly blessed by opening and growing their home. Together they own, operate, and live on a large ranch and they love to travel, wander, cook, and have a house full of college kids over for Sunday lunch. Jami has a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences from Abilene Christian University. Her graduate degree is in Education, Counseling, and Human Development from Hardin-Simmons University. Jami loves to speak (in general and for events,) write and participate in respite foster care. A program designed to help other foster families with temporary care. Her first manuscript Sacred Ground, Sticky Floors inspired the name of her blog. She is currently hard at work at her latest non-fiction women's inspirational manuscript. Jami's writing has been featured on foreverymom.com, scarymommy.com, themighty.com, bonbonbreak.com, sammichesandpsychmeds.com, popsugar, faithit, To Save a Life, and is a regular contributor on purposefulfaith.com and internetcafedevotions.com. Jami recently signed a two book publication wtih Harvest House. Her first book is due for release in Fall of 2017.
