Jamie Chase is a principal and instigator of goodness at Credit Union Strategic Planning. Her work includes certification and grant writing for Community Development Financial Institutions. Most recently she and her team created a program that was awarded one of only two U.S. Treasury CDFI Fund grants to credit unions in the 2009 Supplemental Round funded by The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. She is one of only several hundred Credit Union Development Educators, known as the protectors of the credit union movement, and is on sabbatical as one of 15 graduate students in the only program in the world to offer a Masters in the Management of Co-operatives and Credit Unions. She introduced the Emmy Award winning Biz Kid$ PBS program to the credit union movement - it received the largest grant in the history of the National Credit Union Foundation. Jamie previously represented the World Council of Credit Unions to international media. She was raised in a historic cooperative village of Zoar, OH where she was inspired by the International Cooperative Principles that guide credit unions. In 2009 she founded the American Debt Relief Challenge with former NASA developer, Jason Green of Code Green, Scott Butterfield, CEO and Melina Young, president of Credit Union Strategic Planning. Credit Union Strategic Planning is known for saving small credit unions with net worth restoration plans, CDFI grant writing and strategic planning work for credit unions from Alaska to Louisiana.
