Dubbed the Keystone Killer by Rolling Stone, Jane is the President of the Bold Alliance and the Chair of the Nebraska Democratic Party

Jane Kleeb is the Chair of the Nebraska Democratic Party and the President of the Bold Alliance—a network of small but mighty groups working in rural and often overlooked states to protect the land and water and to stop eminent domain for private gain. Starting in Nebraska, Bold now has a team on the ground in Iowa, Louisiana and Oklahoma. Jane was a key leader in the fight against the Keystone pipeline, earning her the nickname of “Keystone Killer” by Rolling Stone because of her fierce organizing skills. Jane believes unlikely alliances are needed to fight climate change. Bringing farmers ranchers, fisherfolk and Tribal Nations to the table—especially given their livelihoods are most at-risk with climate change—is a at the core of everything Bold does at the local and state level. Whether is in a corn field, communicating as a pundit on MSNBC, or developing plans to pass a bill, Jane always has a clear focus on citizens taking the lead to pull off creative actions. Mrs. Kleeb has served as founding Director of Bold Nebraska, Street Team Reporter for MTV, Executive Director of SEIU’s Change That Works Nebraska, Executive Director of Young Democrats of America, Executive Director of Renfrew Center Foundation for Eating Disorder Recovery, Executive Director of AmeriCorps Tallahassee and Co-Chair of the DNC’s Youth Council.
