Jane Vosburg

Divestment coordinator for 350 Sonoma County. Retired English and Spanish teacher. Born in Wales. Lives in Santa Rosa, California.

Jane Vosburg was born and raised in a small village in Wales, where the first language is still Welsh. She ran a community center and taught in Birmingham, England for four years. She met husband Bill while he was on a Fullbright teacher exchange from California and immigrated to Santa Rosa in 1982.
After teaching English and Spanish in Santa Rosa middle and high schools for 30 years, she recently retired, and is now dedicating her time to climate activism. She hopes to publicize the risks of global warming and to prevent the resultant climate catastrophe. Jane is the CalSTRS divestment coordinator for 350.org and Fossil Free California. She's also the divestment coordinator for 350 Sonoma County. She has one son Byron who currently lives in San Francisco.
In her spare time, Jane loves hiking with her dogs, knitting and singing in a chorus.
