Janet Colm

Janet Colm has been CEO of Planned Parenthood of Central NC since it was founded in 1982. She is a graduate of Duke University and has a masters in public health from UNC-CH. Under her leadership, PPCNC has won a number of awards, including the Affiliate Excellence Awards for Fundraising, Clinical Services Outreach and Expansion, Diversity, and Public Affairs. Prior to her work with Planned Parenthood, Janet was the first paid director of the local Rape Crisis Center and worked at the Feminist Women’s Health Center in Atlanta. She has held a number of positions in the regional and national organizations including serving on the board of ARMS and the Steering Committee of the Public Policy Partnership. She has served as Chair of the Affiliate Chief Executive Council (ACEC) and as a member of the CAPS Steering Committee, the New Business Initiatives Committee, the Diversity and Leadership Task Force, and the Health Care Reform Implementation Oversight Committee.
