Jasmine M. It’s Motherhood, is a successful writer, editor, and teacher. Jasmine, the fifth of six girls, was born and raised in rural, western Pennsylvania, and was the first of her siblings to graduate from college. After making the decision to work part-time to spend more time at home with her children, Jasmine decided to start blogging about real-life accounts of motherhood. This is how the No, It’s Not Brain Surgery. It’s Motherhood idea was born. Jasmine currently holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature, as well as a Minor and fluency certification in French Language from the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. She also received a Childhood Development Associate in Early Childhood Education, and is an active member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), the Mom’s Club Board, Parent-Teacher Association, and the Catholic University of America Alumni Association. Jasmine is married to Franklyn G. Musgrave, Jr. Esq., and is a proud mother of two wonderful little boys, Franklyn III (6) and Theodore (3), also known as Mr. President #1 and #2. She loves spending time with her family, playing the piano, doing arts and crafts, and volunteering in the music ministry at her local church.
