Javier Garat is the Secretary General of Cepesca (Spanish Confederation of Fisheries) and President of Europêche (Association of National Organizations of Fishing Enterprises in the EU). He holds also several positions in fisheries-related bodies, inter alia, he is alternate member and expert of the European Economic and Social Committee, and a member of the EU Sectoral social dialogue of Sea fisheries.
Javier holds a Law Degree by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a Masters degree in International and European Law by the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven.
