A sports enthusiast, Jay began a successful athletic career at an early age, earning such accolades as being named International Martial Arts Champion and being a member of a division 1 NCAA National Championship Track & Field team. Upon graduating from William & Mary with a BA in English – where he also coached athletics and led the school to its first Female US National Triple Jump Championship – Jay began his career as an assistant trainer for the Tampa Bay buccaneers in the national football league. He went on to coach leading teams and athletes in the MLB, AFL, XFL, UFC, MMA, WCB, while also establishing himself as a rehabilitation specialist .

Motivated to bring his expertise to the masses, Jay began working with individuals in and out of high-end gym facilities. He launched the buzzed-about NFL Training Camp which was profiled in the New York Times and on CBS. Jay developed a cult-like following of devotees who were drawn to his warm disposition and wowed by their results. In 2005, he began working with leading celebrities regularly which he continues to do today. His clients include some of the biggest names in film, music, sports, finance and fashion.

Jay is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association, the International Sports Sciences Association and is a member of IDEA Health and Fitness Association. He is regularly featured in leading media outlets and programs including The New York Times, Elle, Details, Woman’s Health, Good Morning America, MTV and Bravo’s Real Housewives of New York. Jay is also the host of Martha Stewart Sirius Radio’s Fit Club, a frequently published fitness writer, was the first expert profiled on the Men’s Fitness/powerade much-buzzed-about iPad application and is a spokesperson for Vitamin Water and FitFlop.
