Jay K. Footlik
Jay K. Footlik, Democratic candidate for U.S. Congress, IL-10, has devoted his life to public service. Jay grew up in Skokie and graduated from UCLA. Midway through law school, Jay joined the presidential campaign of then-Governor Bill Clinton, and subsequently served in the White House as Special Assistant to the President. Jay served as a senior aide and advisor to Senator John Kerry in the 2004 presidential campaign, and also worked with former Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres on peace initiatives between Israel and its neighbors. Jay serves on the boards of the American Council of Young Political Leaders (ACYPL), the American Friends of the Rabin Center, and SAFE (Securing America’s Future Energy), and has been a union member since 1979. Jay lives in Buffalo Grove, IL with his wife Grace and two year old daughter.
