Jazmin Kay

Journalist and student

Jazmin Kay is a student at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C, studying Political Science. Jazmin’s writing, personal essays, and interviews have been published in Seventeen Magazine, MTV, The Nation, Levo League, Fast Company among other publications. Jazmin is Associate Digital Director at the women’s non-profit organization Feminist.com and the former Voting Rights and Civic Engagement reporter at Generation Progress through The Center for American Progress. Jazmin served at the White House during the final months of President's Obama's administration as an intern in the Office of Digital Strategy, authoring content and social engagement for the White House and other administration officials. As a creative writer and poet, her work has been regionally and nationally acclaimed at Carnegie Hall as a 2015 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards National Medalist. Additionally, Jazmin is serving as the 2015-2016 NCAM Youth Ambassador for Washington DC, empowering youth to take action through Youth Service America.
