I have lived in Alaska since 1991. I served with the Alaska Air National Guard for ten years. My interest in health care reform stems both from personal experience with the for profit, multi-payer, health insurance system, and my former work as a workers' compensation claims coordinator in the private sector. With my blog, I seek to translate the complicated issue of health care reform into one that can be shared and discussed by people from all walks of life. In this way, people can use the knowledge they acquire to better support the efforts of their legislators to reform health care for all Americans. In addition to health care, I am an avid advocate for citizen education through civics. I am a co-chair for the Anchorage Democrats in the Muldoon district.
