Advocate for all things Good, Green, Gender; for Culture and Sustainability, Social Entrepreneur

Jeannie E. Javelosa is an advocate for culture, sustainability and gender and speaks internationally on these topics. A social entrepreneur, she is a Co-Founder of the pioneering retail store and social enterprise ECHOstore Sustainable Lifestyle (ECHO=Environment Community, Hope, Organization), and the advocacy driven brand GREAT WOMEN (GREAT=gender responsive economic action for the transformation of women). She is the driving force of the GREAT WOMEN in ASEAN Initative; and as Director of the ECHOsi Foundation (ECHOsi=Empowering Communities with Hope and Opportunities for Sustainable Initiatives),supports the development programs of the brands on programs for product development and market access for products of small artisan and cultural communities; and the accelerator of social enterprises into inclusive businesses. She was finalist from the Asia-Pacific to the Cartier Women’s Initiative Award in 2012. She is Founding Chair of the BPW Makati (Business and Professional Women Network); member of the Women’s Business Council of the Philippines and ASEAN Women Entrepreneur Network (AWEN); and Gender Representative in the Micro-Small-Medium Enterprise Development (MSMED) Council of the Department of Trade and Industry of the Philippines. She has been invited to speak in international conferences in the MENA region, Barcelona, Paris, Taipei, Korea, and ASEAN countries to name a few. She is one of the writers of the book Planet Entrepreneur printed by John Wiley and Sons, the largest business book publisher in the world, writing the chapter of “Women and Minority Entrepreneurs”. Jeannie graduated with a Masters of Fine Arts from the University of Pennsylvania, USA. The first half of her career path was as an award winning artist (20 exhibitions to her name), art critic and book author (amongst which one won the Manila Critic's Award), continues consultancies as a museum curator and strategic branding-marketing-communicator. As a writer, Jeannie continues to contribute to her twenty year-old column entitled “A Spirited Soul” at the Sunday Allure Section of the Philippine Star, while blogging at www.echonewspost.com. She has conceptualized and produced international and national projects in the ASEAN region and Europe. She is also Co-founder of the 18-year old award winning agency EON Stakeholder Relations Group of Companies recognized by the 2014, 2016 Sabre Awards Asia Pacific as the Southeast Asia Consultancy of the Year. She presently sits as Director in several private boards.
