Jeffrey Pfeffer

Professor of Organizational Behavior at the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University

JEFFREY PFEFFER is the Thomas D. Dee II Professor of Organizational Behavior at the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University, where he has taught since 1979. Prior to joining the Stanford faculty, Pfeffer taught at the University of Illinois and the University of California, Berkeley. He has been a visiting professor at the Harvard Business School, London Business School, Singapore Management University, and IESE. Pfeffer is the author or co-author of thirteen books including his most recent, Power: Why Some People Have It—and Others Don’t. He also wrote The Human Equation: Building Profits by Putting People First, The Knowing-Doing Gap, Hard Facts, Dangerous Half-Truths, and Total Nonsense: Profiting from Evidence-Based Management, and What Were They Thinking? Unconventional Wisdom About Management. Pfeffer has presented seminars in 37 countries throughout the world as well as for numerous organizations in the United States.
