Jeremy Gerard is a critic, columnist and editor, most recently at Deadline.com and Bloomberg News, writing about the performing arts, politics and human rights. He has covered theater and television for the New York Times, and was New York Editor and chief drama critic for Variety. For nearly a decade he was a features editor and cultural affairs columnist at New York magazine, and he’s written for magazines and newspapers around the world. Gerard is the author of the critically acclaimed biography WYNN PLACE SHOW, about Wynn Handman and The American Place Theatre (Smith & Kraus pub.). He and his wife, Carla Wittes, live in Manhattan.
