Jeremy Goren founded and writes Open Veins, a blog on immigration issues.
Previously, he spent three years as a section editor at the Latin-culture, online magazine NYRemezcla, managing and writing for both the Current Events and Film pages. He has written on immigration and related issues for the Gotham Gazette and El Tiempo Latino and has also spent time in Washington, D.C., at NPR local member station WAMU 88.5FM and working in immigration law. He holds a B.A. in Spanish Language and Literature, Latin American Studies and Journalism from Brandeis University and has lived in Havana, Cuba.
