Jerome Karabel is a Professor of Sociology at the University of California, Berkeley and the author of The Chosen, a study of the history of admission and exclusion at Harvard, Yale, and Princeton. Andrei Markovits is a Professor of Comparative Politics at the University of Michigan and the author of Uncouth Nation, a study of anti-Americanism in Europe.
