Jerrold D. Green

President & CEO, Pacific Council on International Policy

Dr. Jerrold D. Green is President and CEO of the Pacific Council on International Policy. Based in Los Angeles, the Pacific Council is a foreign affairs organization for the West Coast. The Council’s annual Members Weekend is the West Coast’s premier forum on global affairs.

Dr. Green, a Middle East expert, is also a Research Professor of Communications at the University of Southern California (USC). He has served as Senior Advisor for Middle East/South Asia and Director of the Middle East Development Council at the RAND Corporation in Santa Monica, California, and before that, as Director of International Programs and Development, overseeing the activities of the Center for Asia-Pacific Policy as well as the Center for Russia and Eurasia.

He has written widely on Middle East themes focusing on American Middle East policy, the role of religion in the region, inter-Arab relations, Iranian politics, and the Arab-Israeli conflict. He uses Arabic, French, Hebrew, and Persian in his work and has lived and worked in Iran, Israel, and Egypt, where he was a Fulbright Fellow.
