Arthur “Jerry” Kremer is the founder and Chairman of Empire Government Strategies. Mr. Kremer has enjoyed a long and distinguished career not only in law, but also in government. A 23-year veteran of the New York State Assembly, he was the only Long Island legislator to ever head the prestigious Ways and Means Committee. He served in that post for 12 years, and served by appointment of the Governor on the Metropolitan Transportation Authority's Capital Review Board and the Public Authorities Control Board. As a member of the Legislature, Mr. Kremer was an author of the Automobile Lemon Law and the Article X Power Plant Siting Law. During his tenure in Albany, Mr. Kremer also served as Chair of the Committee on Corporations where he was involved with corporate and energy issues. He has served as government relations representative to Canon U.S.A., DMJM+Harris Engineering, the New York State Bowling Proprietor's Association, The Bus Association of New York State, Caithness Energy, MedReview, the

Fair Assessment Committee, the Town of North Hempstead, the Long Island Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the New York Association of Wholesale Marketers. Mr. Kremer created the only statewide grassroots lobbying operation that has representation in eight regions on New York State. Mr. Kremer is Chair of the New York Affordable Reliable Electricity Alliance, a 200-member organization that promotes energy issues throughout the state. Mr. Kremer maintains an active role in many key Long Island organizations. He is a Trustee of Hofstra University; a member of the Board of Overseers of the Tilles Cultural Center, and has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Long Island Association. For the past sixteen years, he has chaired the annual Long Island Coalition for Fair Broadcasting luncheon honoring outstanding achievements by the media. Mr. Kremer is also Chairman of the Young People's Chorus of New York City, a 600-member youth chorus who has won the International prize for choral groups in British Columbia, Japan and Austria. They have performed frequently at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and the White House. He is the Past President of the Brooklyn Law School Alumni Association. In addition, Mr. Kremer is a Colonel (Ret.) in the New York State Guard. As an extension of his professional life, Mr. Kremer serves on the Committee on Professionalism in the Law by appointment of the Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals. Mr. Kremer is married to the former Suzan Rosenholtz and has four daughters.

The news media have consistently sought Mr. Kremer’s commentary and analysis of the events of the day. He has been the News12 political analyst for over fifteen years and appears regularly on the Fox network and ABC television. Mr. Kremer also authors a weekly column on political topics for Long Island Business News.
