Jes Kast-Keat

Minister of Word and Sacrament, theologian, and interfaith advocate

The Reverend Jes Kast-Keat is an ordained Minister of Word and Sacrament, theologian, and interfaith advocate. She is the Associate Minister at West End Collegiate Church in New York City where she preaches, facilitates various education classes, and leads a weekly feeding program for some of the most vulnerable in NYC. Reverend Jes works with various LGBTQ religious organizations to advocate for and celebrate full inclusion in the church.

She is a 2015-2016 Beatitudes Society Fellow. She writes for The Twelve blog where she reflects on life through a reformed, queer, liberation and feminist theological lens.
The Belhar Confession influences life and ministry of Reverend Jes as she seeks to participate in the decolonizlization of theology and ecclesiastical practices. You will often hear her say "Joy is her protest" in the critique and creation of our lived theologies.
