Jessica Huang

Jessica Huang is a student at UCLA studying Microbiology, as well as a minor in Global Health and Food Studies. She has former parasitology and clinical research experience at UCLA, Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine, Illinois State University as well as various science startups including Ritual and Pyur Solutions. Jessica also serve as a liasion for California to Shot@Life, an organization under the United Nations Foundation. In her experiences with public health on campus, she has worked closely with the UCLA Healthy Campus Initiative as their Social Media Coordinator, as well as one of UCLA's fellows to the University of California Office of the President's Global Food Initiative. She is the cofounder of SNAC UCLA, a student initiative to bring the topics of nutrition and wellness to the table at UCLA. Simultaneously, she works to spread the influential health initiatives spearheaded by UCLA to other campuses as a Student Researcher for the Menus of Change University Research Collaborative. Jessica Huang is a co-founder of S8, a not-for-profit organization which unites academia, industry, and policy fields towards a more sustainable future.
