Jim Hawkins is an assistant professor at the University of Houston Law Center where he teaches and writes about consumer protection law, focusing on the fertility industry and fringe banking markets. He earned a JD at the University of Texas Law School and clerked on the Fifth Circuit
Court of Appeals. His academic articles have been published in the UCLA Law Review, the Washington & Lee Law Review, and the Indiana Law Journal, among other places.
